1. Output Voltage Adjustment
@ Output voltage can be adjusted by connecting "Vadj Pin" to "-Vout Pin" or "+Vout Pin".
*For output voltage adjustment range, calculation method and pin connection, see individual specification.

2. Ordering Information

@

3.Input Voltage

@

When using non-regulated source, make sure that the combined voltage fluctuation and ripple voltage do not exceed the input voltage range of MK series.

4. Wiring To Input/ Output Pin

@

If the wrong input voltage is applied, the unit will not operate properly and/or may be damaged. We recommend to use fuse or diode for protection. This unit does not have inrush current protection circuit. Use power thermistor if you need to limit inrush current.
œFilter
MK series incorporates a built-in input filter. Installing near the input terminal will lower the input conductor due the formation of the ƒΞ type filter.
To lower the ripple voltage further, install external ƒΞ type filter at shown below. Capacitor : 0-220ƒΚF, Inductor : 0-100ƒΚH

@
@ œSeries Operation
Series operation is possible by connecting the output of two or more power supplies as shown below. Output current in a series connection should be lower than the lowest rated current of the units. The diode shown below is not required when connecting power supplies of the same output voltage in series.
@
@ MKD can use as 24V output by leaving "COM pin" open.
@
@ œIf connected to "-side"of input , the case potential can be fixed and value of radiation noise reduced.

5. Over current protection

@

Over current protection circuit is built-in and operates at 110% of rated output current.
The unit automatically recovers when the abnormal condition is cleared.
¦Over current protection protects the unit from short-circuit and over-current condition of less than 20sec.

6. Assembling

@ When mounting the power supplies, allow for sufficient air ventilation. Ambient temperature of each power supply should not exceed the temperature range shown in the derating curve.
Avoid placing the DC input line pattern lay out directly beneath the unit because it will increase the line conducted noise. Make sure to leave ample distance between the line pattern lay out and the unit. Also, avoid placing the DC output line underneath the unit because it may increase the output noise. Lay out the pattren away from the unit.

7. Soldering

@ Flow soldering @260Ž‚l‚`‚w10 sec.
Soldering iron @360Ž‚l‚`‚w@5sec.

8.Derating

@

9.Start-Up Current

@

When using lower input voltage than the rated input voltage, input current will increase.

@

10.Output Capacitor
@

Using capacitor (more than 1000ƒΚF) on your load may prevent the power supply from providing the rated output Voltage. Please consider load capacitance in your application.
